Under rent control or stabilization?

I moved into my NYC apartment in 1969, and my rent increases have been
determined by the rent stabilization laws ever since. I have been told that
having moved in before 1971, I should be under rent CONTROL, not
stabilization, and therefore I may be getting overcharged.

Anyone know the law on this?

Honestly, to borrow from your nickname, this is the kind of question
that should go to a real estate attorney. Advice in this forum isn't
going to help you prevail, whether it's right or wrong.

You _could_ be stabilized if the building was built after WW2.
